Technology Specialist, Doane College
Doane College, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences college, invites applications for the position of Technology Specialist. This is a full-time position located on Doane’s Crete Campus and reports to the Helpdesk Manager on the Crete Campus.
The College seeks a person to install, repair and maintain it’s computer and media equipment, install hardware and software, coordinate equipment use in the classroom and maintain the computer labs. The position answers requests from the College customer support desk, tracks requests, troubleshoots and resolves problems in a timely manner or forwards them to the appropriate technology staff member. This is an entry level position that works closely with the technology team to maintain equipment and to assist with day-to-day customer technology needs.
A College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience with computer installation, repair and maintenance and customer service is required. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize multiple tasks efficiently. Hours for the position are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some weekend hours and travel to other campuses may be required.
