Cabela's Retail, Inc is hiring seasonal retail Associate-Firearms Safety Greeters in the Customer Service Department for our Retail Store in Rapid City, SD. These positions are a critical link to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts.
 
 
This position's duties include:
 
 Assure firearms entering the building are secured through established plans and monitors activities at the entrance doors. Receives day-to-day work direction from the Customer Service Manager. 
 Assure firearms are properly checked by ensuring that the firearm has a trigger lock, tagged and unloaded in the designated area, and customer is escorted to the Gun department. 
 Assures that the firearm check-in station has constant coverage during hours of operations. 
 Ensure firearm is unloaded and barrel is always pointed in approved direction per company policy. 
 Partner with Gun Counter outfitters with difficult firearm handling. 
 Monitor door activity and EAS alarm system and coordinates with Asset Protection. 
 Assure receipt verification on purchases that are leaving the store. 
 
This position requires:
 
 Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures. 
 Advanced firearm handling knowledge. 
 Ability to communicate with various business contacts and customers in a courteous and professional manner. Experience in Customer Service preferred. 
 Ability to effectively function as a team player. 
 High school graduate or equivalent. Related experience or firearm knowledge and/or experience preferred.
