LVCmag.com (formerly La Vie Cherie) is an online fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine with headquarters in Omaha, NE. We are a multi-faceted organization, producing content for television in addition to our online magazine.  We are currently in need of an Editorial Intern/Assistant. This position reports directly to our Editor-in-Chief and will help to organize and manage the content of our website.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Proofing/editing articles submitted by our Regional Reporters daily

·         Managing content of the site (including posting new articles to our website)

·         Assisting Editor-in-Chief concerning any special projects, promotions, or assignment, which could include:

o   Weekly video shoots

o   Assisting in the coordination of promotional events for the site

o   Contacting designers, PR firms, boutique owners, etc. to verify sources, request photos, request products, etc.

This is a multi-faceted position where the right person will get a well rounded experience developing skills in editing and writing, as well as getting a glimpse into the world of television and production.

Our ideal candidate is organized, pays attention to the details, and is able to multi-task. A background in Journalism, English, or Writing is perfect for this job. This person must also have leadership qualities, as they will be assuming the task of assigning instruction to others.     An interest in fashion and magazines is a must-- you will be reading fashion related articles daily and must have an understanding of trends, styles, designers, and dressing for different body types, as well as knowledge of other magazines. You must be able to communicate well both orally and through the written word. LVCmag.com is a team environment, so playing well with others is must!
