1. Complete knowledge of menu including the specials for the day.

3. Proper tray set up for special deliveries such as V.I.P.'s,

4. Proper tray set up for all other orders such as silverware, napkins, appropriate condiments, beverages, etc.

5. Garnish food and place on tray with a cover.
|

6. Read and understand a guest check.
|
|
7. Greet guest at door with a smile in a courteous, professional manner.

8. Know the physical layout of the hotel.
|
|
9. Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
|
|
10. Deliver orders to the rooms while ensuring the following events:
A. place linen cloth on table in room; place items on table from tray; table to be set as if in the dining room
B. ask guest if food should be uncovered before exiting the room
C. verbally announce the total of the bill, hand check to guest
D. receive appropriate payment of the check
E. ask guest to call the room service extension for pick up

11. Complete knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine.
|
|
12. Return check and payment to cashier. Call back to guest after 5-10 minutes to see if meal is satisfactory.

13. Know and understand room charge procedures.
|
|
14. Declare tips according to IRS standards.
|
|
15. Cleans and restocks room service areas. Also has a clear knowledge of sidework.
|
|
16. Informs manager of any problems or complaints.
|
|
17. Accommodates any reasonable request by the guest.
|
|
18. Will retrieve soiled dishes, etc. from hallways and guest room as needed.
